Welcome Friend!
Sziasztok!
(Hi y’all in Hungarian)
Yep, you guessed it right! This blog is about me and my journey to a 100 % healthy life. It’s not easy to put health first when you live a busy life, have a small budget and are presented with tons of unhealthy choices each day. But I have learned over the years that it’s not impossible! It just requires a little bit of extra effort, some planning and determination to succeed.
So no more excuses my Friend! Put the remote control down, get up the couch and start moving! The first step is always the hardest, but you’ll soon find out that feeling good can be actually addictive!
There is SO much that life has to offer. Don’t settle for less! Your body is a very complex machine, and if you use high quality "fuel" and treat it right, it won’t break down. Believe me, it’s the best investment that you will ever make! Just remember these key words: Variety, Balance and Moderation in everything you do and eat. It really works for me!
I don’t want you to think that I’m an expert on the subject though. I’m definitely not. My husband (TS) and I are just two poor, hardworking college students who got sick of feeling lousy, sluggish and lifeless from all the processed foods that we’ve been eating for years. We used to think that we just can’t afford "organic". But now I’m convinced that if we can eat healthy on the little budget we have, then anyone can do it!
As a result, we’re extremely thankful for every precious minute that is added to our life together because of the little healthy choices we make on a daily basis. It’s an exciting journey, full of new, "adventurous" experiences and discoveries. Wanna come along?

Heya Reka!!!
Happy to be on the journey with you on this. I think I might need some advice on healthy eating as well! Thank you my friend for sharing your thoughts and food miracles, it is very inspiring. I am trying to eat healthy as well but as you say it is quite expensive and yea we are in Hungary, if you know what I mean. My question is what do you reccommend for breakfasts first and then for dinner? When doe go to gym before dinner or after? When eating healthy what should I concentrate on? May be we should write in Hungarian it is absolutely easier form me but this way I can practice my English.
So first of all give me tipps for healthy breakfast, pleeaase. I know cereals and besides that?
Thanks again!
Big kisses and love ya!

Hey!!!!
Well, I’m not a fitness expert either. But I feel privileged that you would ask me
Since health is so important to me, I’ve been doing a lot of research on healthy eating and exercising habits. Every person is different, of course, but this is what works the best for me:
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I never, ever skip it anymore.
The best way to start the day is to have a good, nutritious breakfast that will jump-start your metabolism.
Whole grains work the best, because they are high in fiber and fill you up for a long time (oatmeal works the best for me). Other options include some kind of low-fat protein (like hard-boiled eggs, nuts, lean slices of meat, etc.) or low-fat dairy (like skim milk, yogurt, low-fat cheese, etc) or fruits and vegetables (any kind).
Together, these basic food groups provide carbs, fiber, protein and a small amount of fat, which are all very important in having a healthy diet. I always try to choose at least a couple of options from each category for each one of my meals.
in addition, remember to keep your portions small, and try to eat at least 5-6 times a day. That will keep your metabolism going through the day.
And the exercise…well, I think the most important thing is to find a time that works the best for you. That way you won’t be tempted to skip it. Then, stick to it! Regularity is the key! For me the afternoons work the best, because that’s when my body temperature is at its highest.
Hope this helps.
