A blog about putting your health 1st physically (food and exercise), mentally (thought-life) and spiritually (faith).

Grow where you were planted…

Oh man…Another one of those “drama” weeks. Don’t you just wish sometimes that you could simply “step out” of all of this? Just for a few hours! Or even for a few short minutes. Like the musical says: “Stop the World – I Want to Get Off!” That’s exactly how I feel right now. Can someone please stop the Earth from spinning? I need a break. A break from the never-ending responsibilities. From all the awkward family situations. From the disappointments and tears. From my loud neighbor. From the homesickness, and from the pile of dirty dishes…I need a break.

treesI remembered today that it’s been exactly 9 years that my life was completely turned around. I became a Christian. And now I know that my whole world is in the palm of His hands.

trees1So after a long, disheartening week, I believe in His promises. There are no accidents in His perfect plan. I know He is still in control. And wherever He may lead, whatever He may bring into my life, through tears and joy, I’ll trust Him!

CollagesSo today’s encouragement comes from these beautiful, old trees:
Grow where you were planted.

Collages1I need to remember that this is just another opportunity to grow closer to God. As James said: “When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”

Collages2
I am praying for many of you out there right now. You had a tough few days too. But remember: give it all to Him.

See it as an opportunity to grow closer to God. And know that you are loved!!!

P.S. Listen to this song Friend and be encouraged.

Hillsong:  With All I Am

Into Your hands
I commit again
With all I am, for You, Lord
You hold my world
In the palm of Your hand
And I am Yours forever

Jesus I believe in You
Jesus I belong to You
You’re the reason that I live
The reason that I sing
With all I am

I’ll walk with You
Wherever You go
Through tears and joy
I’ll trust in You
And I will live
In all of Your ways
And Your promises, forever

I will worship
I will worship You

Thank you for this encouraging post!
    This is the greatest song!
    Here’s one for you too:

    “The Lord watches over you-
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm-
    He will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and evermore. (Psalm 121: 5-8)
