Yes, I know. I’m spoiled.
I’ve been struggling with this yucky sinus infection for a whole week now and somehow I just can’t seem to get rid of it! And the weather hasn’t been exactly cooperating either. Although the snow pretty much melted, the temperature is still around a low 45° F (7° C).
So today we pretended to be little cocoons. TS turned me into a big, fluffy, comfy cocoon before I could escape! It only took 5 blankets, 2 big pillows, some abracadabra and Voilà!! But as you can see, I didn’t mind so much. It was actually pretty cozy in there
Then, my wonderful husband decided to whip up a wonderful breakfast for me. (Maybe he felt a little guilty for harassing me earlier?)
My order: waffles with freshly cut up fruit (kiwis, apples and strawberries). Mouthwatering, don’t you think? I haven’t had waffles for sooooo loong! Oh happy day!!
Whole grain (the boxed-kind) for Him (that’s what he likes)….
…and buckwheat ones for Me (that’s what I like!!!!!) He even blended some blueberries into the mix! It made it a little sticky, but drizzled with some organic honey, it was absolutely delicious!!!!
Then, to continue his little “Spoil-My-Wife” Project for the day, wasn’t enough of the spoiling, he did the dishes while I exercised!! Ladies. Isn’t he just wonderful? —-Mom, if you’re reading this, no worries: I married well! He even does the dishes!
He has such a servant heart. That’s what I love the most about him I think. He always looks out for the interests of others and puts other people’s needs first. He doesn’t mind going above and beyond to make sure that you’re taken care of. And always does it with a cheerful attitude! It’s pretty humbling to see him give, and give some more, without expecting anything in return. So that’s what Jesus meant when He said: “whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant…” I’m so richly blessed!
He even took me out for a healthy dinner!! Am I spoiled or what?
We both loaded up our plates with piles of nutritious veggies. Yumm!
And I got to dress up! Yaaaay! Since it’s cold again, I even got to wear my cute Romanian winter coat that I got for 10 bucks when we went home for a visit
Perfect end to the day: we stopped and got a long-wanted exercise ball that came with a super little hand pump and some awesome workout tips. Can’t wait to use it tomorrow!!
And on the same note, I made a new resolution today. Starting tomorrow I will be exercising a minimum of 300 minutes/week. So let’s do the math! That means 50 minutes of exercise, for 6 days and taking one day off each week to rest. Considering my schedule, I think it’s a pretty realistic and doable goal, but we’ll see. I guess I just felt like I’ve been kinda neglecting my workout routine lately. The past few weeks have been pretty stressful, plus this lousy sickness
So, I desperately a new motivation. I function so much better when I have little goals to achieve on a daily basis. Like seeing this size 1 pair of jeans hanging on my closet door. Haha. Pretty ridiculous, I know. But whatever works, right?
The Squarehead says hi.
Lights out so I’d better go now. Preschool tomorrow morning! Can’t wait to see the kiddos again. I missed them this past week.
